Viktor Licht is Company 8's Science Officer. He's obsessed with understanding Spontaneous Human Combustion—the subject of his thesis at Tokyo Imperial University, which he completed in record time while graduating top of his class. After school, he joined Haijima Industries, where he basically disappeared into his research. His work eventually earned him the position of head of incendiary research.
At some point, Joker tracked him down and got in his ear about uncovering the truth behind what's really going on in the world. That conversation apparently changed things for Viktor.
