A ventriloquist with the Berry Big Circus, Woodman is best known for being painfully shy—so much so that he relies almost entirely on his dummy, Trilo Quist, to communicate with the world. Trilo essentially serves as Woodman's opposite: brash, outgoing, and unfiltered in ways the ventriloquist himself could never be. This dynamic carried over even into serious moments; when Woodman testified as a witness to the events surrounding ringmaster Russell Berry's murder, he did so through Trilo rather than speaking directly.
