Kirisame is a rogue ninja from the Hidden Rain Village who abandoned his post to assist Suien in tracking down the Hero Water, a legendary substance supposedly hidden in the Hidden Waterfall Village. He's best known for being the group's most openly sadistic member—fans often note his disturbing habit of laughing while attacking opponents, particularly during his assault on Naruto. His enthusiasm for killing was apparently such a problem that Suien had to repeatedly tell him to dial it back and stop murdering indiscriminately.
