An old classmate of Ryo's who's been playing badminton since he was six. He's left-handed and genuinely talented—exactly the kind of player who lived up to being called a prodigy. That said, his junior high years got overshadowed by Yusa, who's a year older and an even bigger deal. After the family moved to Kanagawa, Yusa basically kept him from winning individual championships until Yusa graduated.
Wanting a fresh start away from that shadow, he transferred to a strong badminton school in Shiga Prefecture for high school.
