Ashi-Magari

Ashi-Magari—literally "Leg Clinger"—is a tanuki who shows up as one of Kitarou's antagonists. He debuted in the Shonen Magazine story "Youkai Ashi-Magari."
Not much else is commonly known about this character beyond his initial appearance, though his name gives away his whole deal: he's the kind of yokai who latches onto people's legs. He represents the more mischievous end of the yokai spectrum, existing mainly to cause trouble for our protagonist rather than serve any deeper role in the broader mythology.
