Lenalee is Komui's younger sister and works as an assistant Head Officer. She lost both her parents to an Akuma attack when she was just a kid, and the Black Order took her away from Komui—her only remaining family—to serve as an Accommodator at Headquarters. She spent three years essentially locked down, which she describes as feeling like a prison. Things got dark enough that she attempted suicide and had to be physically restrained. Her whole situation changed once Komui finally joined the Order; having him around made the place feel way less isolating. She's told Allen that her world pretty much revolves around her friends and family, and she'd be completely shattered if anything happened to them.
As an Exorcist, her weapon takes the form of boots called the Dark Boots. They massively boost her leg strength and speed, and she can even fly with them. Over time she's developed several techniques including Onkyou no tougi: Otokase, Suijou no tougi: Mizukase, Enbu Kirikaze, and Shittsui no tougi: Tetsukase.
After fighting a Level 3 Akuma, Lenalee temporarily lost the ability to use her Dark Boots. It's been theorized that her innocence might actually be connected to the heart of the Innocence itself.
