Elliot Baldwin Woodman
Woodman is the founder of Ratatoksr Machinery and has been Kotori's benefactor. He's a guy over 50 who shows up in Volumes 5 and 8, with a mention in Volume 9.
The interesting part of his backstory is that he and current DEM director Wescott used to work together. Woodman's always had an unconventional way of communicating—it's part of what makes him distinctive. But something happened between them about thirty years ago, likely connected to Spirits in some way, and whatever it was made Woodman split from Wescott's operation. The exact details of what went down between them haven't been fully explained in the novels yet.
