Momona is a 14-year-old middle school student who gets swept into an unexpected adventure when she's transported to the Jewel Palace after meeting Lady Diana. She'd been struggling at her cousin's wedding—unable to genuinely smile because she didn't know the bride—when everything changed.
Shy but surprisingly determined, Momona quickly bonds with Ruby, who becomes her mentor and partner during her time there as a Petit Lady. The two work well together, especially once they discover they can do magic using Momona's Miracle Letterpen and Jewel Pod.
Things get complicated with Cayenne, though. The two don't exactly hit it off at first, but that tension gradually shifts into something neither of them quite expects—a mutual attraction that catches the attention of Lillian, who grows jealous. Eventually they all work through it; Lillian agrees to accept Momona and Cayenne together, but only if Momona proves herself to be a true lady.
