Momona's an ordinary junior-high student from Jewel Land who starts out envying her cousin's bride, Lady Diana, at their wedding—mostly because she'd had a crush on the groom. But once she actually meets Diana and sees how perfect they are together, Momona's feelings shift and she accepts her warmly. Before Diana can properly introduce herself though, Momona gets mysteriously transported to a snowy region where Lady Jewel is recruiting candidates—the Petit Ladies—to compete for her throne. Enter Ruby, a white rabbit who becomes Momona's guide and mentor through a series of tasks. The girl who completes the most tasks wins the title of Lady Jewel and gets to choose the next King. Momona's main competition is Lillian, who's determined to win so she can crown her own brother, Cayenne, as King. Problem is, Momona starts developing feelings for Cayenne too—and he seems to feel the same way about her. Lillian, naturally, doesn't appreciate that one bit. So the real question becomes: who'll actually win Lady Jewel? Can Momona and Lillian ever get past their rivalry? And what does the future hold for Momona and Cayenne?
