Beans serves as Netero's personal secretary and is basically the organizational backbone behind the Hunter Exam. He's the one handing out number badges to examinees before things kick off, and later he gives the rundown on what a Hunter License actually gets you—explaining its perks to whoever makes it through. In the Nippon Animation adaptation, he goes by Maamen instead.
