Mana grew up alongside Atem and Mahad, training in magic under Mahad's mentorship. She's known for being lighthearted and playful, with a genuine care for both her master and Atem that runs deep.
Early on in the Dawn of the Duel arc, Mana was still very much a reluctant student—the kind who'd hide in pots outside the palace to avoid lessons. Mahad would call her out, reminding her she'd never become a real sorcerer if she kept slacking off. But after his death, something shifted in her. She became determined to honor him, training hard enough to eventually summon her own Ka: the Dark Magician Girl.
When Yugi's group showed up in the Millennium World, Mana was one of only two people there who could actually see them. She ended up helping the gang take down Zorc, and Yugi even explained the card game to her—which makes sense, given that the Dark Magician Girl was literally her Ka made manifest.
By the time everything was over, a single manga panel revealed she'd inherited the Millennium Ring, presumably as a reward or recognition of her growth and loyalty.
