Michel is a Hollow created by an unnamed female Arrancar as part of a larger scheme to destroy Karakura Town.
At first glance, Michel comes across as genuinely likable—always smiling, eager to help, and interested in the people around him. He famously broke away from fans asking for his autograph to check on Kon after a Hollow encounter, and he'd talk enthusiastically about how lucky Karakura Town was to have the Karakura-Raizer Team. But it was all an act. Underneath the charm, Michel was purely manipulative.
His actual plan relied on hypnosis to systematically weaken the town's defenses. When he gave the Karakura-Raizer Team what he called "special flying capes," he was really handing them devices designed to drain their reiatsu. The weaker they became, the easier they'd be to take down.
