Akio is Nagisa's father and co-runs the Furukawa Bakery alongside his wife Sanae. He's got a playful, rough-around-the-edges personality that masks a genuinely kind heart—people tend to warm up to him pretty quickly because of his childlike energy. When he's not at the bakery, you'll find him playing baseball with kids in the park next door or geeking out over Gundam. He's become somewhat infamous for having to choke down Sanae's bread creations; he'll always insist he loves them while eating, even though they're. not great. It's basically his running sacrifice as a husband.
