Gatlin's main thing is strategy. As a captain from Galopoula, he's known for being thoughtful and calculating—the kind of guy who sees several moves ahead. Rather than just throwing his weight around, he figured out that the smartest way to weaken Border was to hit them in ways that wouldn't make them want to retaliate. He basically clocked Aftokrator's angle: they were trying to provoke Border into going after Galopoula and Rodochroun out of sheer resentment. Gatlin wasn't about to let that play out on his terms, so he approached things differently. That restraint and tactical awareness pretty much defines how he operates.
