Midori Makibaō is a small white mule—built more like a donkey than a thoroughbred, complete with those distinctive wide nostrils. Most would overlook him next to the sleeker racing horses, but what he lacks in size, he makes up for in heart and raw speed. And it shows: he wins the big races anyway.
