Synopsis

Midori Makibao is a small white racehorse who doesn't look like your typical thoroughbred—he's got wide nostrils and kind of resembles a donkey more than anything else. But what he lacks in appearance, he makes up for in heart and speed, winning race after race despite the odds. Getting started as a racer wasn't easy for Makibao. His unusual looks and various disadvantages meant he faced an uphill battle just to get his career off the ground. But he had reasons to push through: there was a rival horse called Superhorse Cascade that he was determined to beat, and more importantly, he wanted to win back his mother, who'd been taken away to cover his farm's debts. Throughout the series, Makibao faces one challenge after another but keeps rising to the occasion, proving himself as a legitimate racehorse along the way.
