Kumadori is one of CP9's late reveals, instantly recognizable by his massive build, shock of pink hair, and a right eye that's perpetually shut. He's obsessed with samurai honor to a comedic degree—constantly trying to kill himself after perceived slights, accepting blame for literally anything that goes wrong. The gag, of course, is that he reflexively uses tekkai every single time, accidentally saving his own life before he can actually go through with it.
He's weirdly emotional about his mother, breaking down mid-fight just thinking about her. He'll swear her "divine protection" is why his suicide attempts keep failing. Except Oda later revealed she's alive and working as an assassin, which kind of undermines the whole tragic backstory thing. Kumadori claims to hate lies despite having zero problem with melodramatic nonsense.
He's a sennin—a mythological hermit who can control his own body functions and basically live forever—which explains his ability to mess with his weight and manipulate his hair at will. Everything about him screams kabuki theater: the exaggerated makeup style his name actually references, the theatrical poses and vocal delivery, even the random "YOYOI!!" yells. He's loud constantly, almost never speaks without bolding and exclamation marks, and has a habit of stretching out syllables and repeating words like a kabuki actor. His whole fighting style revolves around using his hair as a weapon, plus he carries a shakujō staff and apparently likes throwing haiku around during battles.
When he first fought Nami, he had her completely outmatched—but Chopper showed up after she'd already stolen his key. Chopper became his new opponent, and even with sennin advantages, he got demolished once Chopper popped a third Rumble Ball and went Monster Point. Got launched all the way back to the courthouse for his trouble.
