The Invincible Pokémon Brothers—also called the Three Fighting Brothers—are a trio of arrogant trainers from Viridian City who specialize in Fighting-type Pokémon. The three brothers are Kim (the short one), Kai (the stocky one), and Kail (the tall one), and each claims to be the strongest trainer in their city, ranking themselves first, second, and third respectively.
What makes these guys memorable is how thoroughly they live up to their reputation for being jerks. They swagger around claiming worldwide fame and constantly pick fights with anyone they deem weaker. But their real problem isn't just attitude—it's that they're serial cheaters. Their go-to moves include having their Pokémon play dead and then striking when an opponent's guard is down, or ganging up with multiple Pokémon against a single opponent when one of them starts losing. The truly delusional part? They genuinely don't see it as cheating. When called out, they'll double down and argue they won completely fair and square.
This delusion reached peak absurdity during a match against Misty at the Cerulean Gym, where they sent three Tentacruel at her Corsola in what was supposed to be a one-on-one battle. When disqualified for the rule violation, they threw a fit—which earned them an outright ban from official Pokémon competitions.
Their worst moment came when they tried to intimidate Nurse Joy into lifting that ban. They had Tentacruel attack Misty's Gyarados with Poison Sting, and when Misty threw herself in front of her Pokémon to protect it, they didn't hesitate to target her too. They were actually amused watching her struggle in the water. The act of cruelty finally caught up with them though—when defeat became inevitable, they crumbled into pathetic panic and cowardice.
