Nupperabou are yokai best known from the GeGeGe no Kitarō franchise. They first showed up in the manga's "Korean Magic" chapter in Shonen Magazine and have popped up fairly regularly since then, though usually just hanging around in the background rather than taking center stage.
The various Nupperabou that appear across the series tend to blur together a bit—they're the kind of yokai that work well as supporting cast or random encounters rather than main characters. Still, fans have grown fond of them as part of the wider yokai ecosystem Kitarō inhabits.
