Dragon
After the Great Cataclysm swept through, Dragon showed up in Iraq. He left destruction wherever he went—burned landscapes, ruined towns—and people started calling him "Dragon" because that's what he was: a walking catastrophe. For years he just drifted, bored and miserable, smashing things whenever he felt like it. There wasn't much point to anything.
That changed when he met Faerie. The kid made him a promise: in 200 years, they'd tear the whole world apart together. Finally having something to work toward gave Dragon purpose, even if he still sees Faerie as barely worth noticing—just an insect among his much larger plans. The despair never really left him, though. It's still there, underneath everything, even now that he has a goal.
