Shuren
This afro-sporting Shinigami is basically a comedic fixture of the series—he shows up almost entirely in omake chapters and filler material. He got stuck with the unglamorous job of watching over Karakura Town for hollows after Rukia was arrested and sentenced to death. The gig is basically a nightmare for him. Most of the hollows in the area get taken down by Ichigo and the other heavy hitters before he even gets there, and somehow the town is crawling with spiritually aware people who can actually see him. When he complained about this mess to Soul Society, they essentially told him to deal with it and stop bugging the other spiritually sensitive folks around town.
He sticks around Karakura even after Ichigo comes back, with his last notable appearance being when he warns the Karakura-Rizer team that an Arrancar is heading their way. His official division isn't stated in the manga, though the video game Bleach: Soul Carnival slots him into the 13th Division.
Shikai: Released by calling out "Good Morning" (おはよう, ohayō), it transforms into a chakram with a wooden handle embedded in the blade—anime-only, never showed up in the manga.
Shikai Special Ability: He can slam the ground to summon spikes of earth that impale enemies.
