Vander Decken IX is the captain of the Flying Pirates and skipper of the legendary ship, the Flying Dutchman. He's a fishman of the bullhead shark variety and represents the ninth generation of the Vander Decken line—basically carrying on a family legacy of piracy and seafaring.
