Namikawa serves as Vice President of Sales and was among the first to get behind Yotsuba Kira's plans. According to How to Read, he's considered the most talented member of the board—the kind of guy who could genuinely reach the top on his own merits, even without Kira's help. He's actually pretty skilled at shogi, holding professional 4-dan ranking. The guidebooks note that he has zero patience for incompetent subordinates.
