One of Awakusu-kai's top executives, he's unusually young for the role at around 30. What sets him apart from most yakuza in the series is his consistent use of formal, respectful speech—he only drops it when talking to his own subordinates.
He's the poster child for the "Intelliyakuza" movement: yakuza who've ditched brute force in favor of smart money moves and information gathering. He's skilled at aikido and apparently has a thing for the idol Hijiribe Ruri, at least according to Kazamoto. Within Awakusu-kai, he's basically the go-to guy for handling Orihara Izaya and whatever trouble the information broker stirs up.
