Seiya's the main character—a high school perfectionist with sharp instincts, solid intelligence, and reflexes to match. He's got this polished, almost princely demeanor about him. Most people wouldn't guess it, but he actually worked in entertainment as a kid under the stage name Seiya Kodama. Isuzu remembers him as the kind of kid who made adults feel hopeful about the future, but Seiya himself has said that version of him died a long time ago. There's something melancholy about how he frames it.
At some point, Latifah grants him a magical ability: he can listen to people's hearts and understand their true feelings. The catch is it only works once per person, so he has to choose carefully when to use it.
