He originally lived in America with Aki before moving back to Japan. A traumatic accident involving one of his closest friends left him with a deep aversion to soccer—until he joined Raimon and everything changed.
He started out as a spy planted by Teikoku, sent to infiltrate Raimon's soccer club. But watching the team's genuine passion and dedication made him reconsider. He ultimately switched sides and became a real member of Raimon, ditching his spy role for good when things got serious—specifically when coach Fuyukai, his contact from Teikoku, revealed a plan to bomb the team's bus.
On the field, he's found his rhythm playing alongside Endou, feeling like they actually complement each other in a way that's never quite worked with his old friend Ichinose. During the FFI arc, he briefly played for The Unicorn.
