A yokai-flea who basically serves as InuYasha's go-to source for information and backstory—though he's not exactly brave about it. Myouga's tendency to bail whenever things get dangerous is kind of his whole thing, and it's one reason InuYasha finds him so aggravating.
His actual job was protecting the gravesite of InuYasha's father, which housed the Tessaiga. The grave itself was hidden inside a black pearl embedded in InuYasha's right eye and only revealed when Sesshoumaru first showed up. Beyond the exposition though, Myouga's got a taste for yokai blood—and this actually comes in handy when he drinks poison straight out of InuYasha's veins to save his life. You'd think that'd earn him some gratitude, but instead he catches regular slaps from both InuYasha and Kagome because of his cowardice. The upside is he's immortal, so the beatings never stick.
