Paul Dobson is a Canadian voice actor based in Vancouver who works regularly with Ocean Group. He's one of three brothers in the industry—Michael and Brian are also voice actors—and has built a career on being cast in pretty distinct character types: manipulative villains, tough-guy brutes, or comic relief minions.
His villainous roles are what he's probably best known for. Naraku from InuYasha is arguably his signature performance, though Sideways from Transformers: Armada and the dark-hunter Nidhiki from Bionicle 2 come close. On the tough-guy side, he voiced the elder Enzo Matrix in ReBoot and Juggernaut in X-Men Evolution. For comedy, fans often note his work as Myoga from InuYasha, Howdy from Hamtaro, and Happosai from Ranma ½.
He's frequently worked with his brothers across multiple projects—the Bionicle movies B2 and B3 (where he also voiced Toa Whenua), Ranma ½, and Hamtaro all featured the Dobson brothers. He also voiced Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes and later reprised that role in Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, adding Shuma-Gorath to the latter game. In live-action video game work, he voiced Sgt. Dwight Boykin in Dead Rising 2.
