Matilda Ajan commands the Earth Federation's Medea supply corps and frequently acts as General Revil's personal envoy, ferrying orders between ships. She's best known among the White Base crew for showing up at exactly the right moment—her timely supply runs literally kept the carrier operational when it was pinned down in Zeon-controlled airspace over North America, allowing them to make critical repairs and escape across the Pacific.
The crew started calling her their "guardian angel," partly because of her knack for appearing whenever things got dire, but also—let's be honest—because she's conventionally beautiful. Young Amuro Ray wasn't the only crew member who developed a crush, though he was probably the most obvious about it. She's engaged to Lieutenant Woody Malden, a chief military engineer based at the Federation's Jaburo headquarters.
