Keiji Kiriya is a fresh recruit in the United Defense Force who gets trapped in a time loop—every time he dies in combat, he wakes up back in the past. It's a brutal way to learn the job, but repeated cycles of training and battlefield experience gradually turn him into an actual soldier. The loop forces him to grow fast or die trying, sometimes literally both.
