Damiano is a career soldier who arrived in Ishval's Daliha region just days before the civil war ended, assigned to Major Roy Mustang's unit. Though his time there was brief, he developed genuine respect for Mustang—mainly for how the man looked out for his soldiers and kept them alive. Seven years later, Damiano's still in the military, now stationed in the East Area under Lieutenant General Grumman. When word gets around that Mustang is orchestrating a coup in Central City to clean out the government's corruption, Damiano jumps at the chance to rejoin his old commander, and his former squadmates feel the same way.
