Manyuda comes across as cold and calculating—the type of guy who always plays it safe, which he's quick to point out himself. He's got sharp instincts as a gambler and a talent for reading opponents, which is honestly why he wins so much. But underneath that composed exterior, he's dealing with some real insecurity: a deep-seated fear of being seen as worthless and thrown away. It drives him hard enough that he'll do whatever it takes to prevent that from happening. Interestingly, he and Itsuki Sumeragi share this vulnerability, and he seems to respect her grit because of it.
