Gangi-Kozou
Gangi-Kozou—basically "Jagged Boy" or "Chompers Boy"—is an aquatic youkai that falls into the kappa family, though with its own distinct vibe. While he's usually portrayed as a singular character, you'll occasionally see packs of them show up depending on the story.
He's best known as a recurring ally to Kitarō and the crew across different adaptations. Fans often appreciate him as a more sympathetic water spirit compared to some of the nastier youkai out there, and he tends to pop up whenever the gang needs help dealing with water-based trouble or other creatures lurking in aquatic environments.
