Kalim

One of Silva's closest friends, Kalim helped organize the Shaman Fight and was the one who tested and cleared Horohoro to compete. His spirit partner is a bull named BlackSickle, which manifests through a bull skull and leg bones that fuse with Kalim's lower body during combat. His plant is the plateau.
During the tournament in Tokyo, Kalim and Silva share an apartment and constantly argue about the unbearable heat—neither of them can afford an air conditioner, and the summer humidity makes it pretty much unbearable. Both scrape by selling handcrafted Patch goods while they're in the city. Kalim tends to be the more level-headed of the two, regularly trying to talk Silva out of getting involved in tournament business where he shouldn't.
He appears to be hemaphobic. Following the Patch priest naming tradition of using metal elements, Kalim's name comes from potassium—specifically the Japanese Kariumu (カリウム), derived from the German Kalium.
