Synopsis

Fuyuki City—nestled between mountains and sea—is about to host an ancient ritual. Seven mages, called Masters, summon legendary heroic spirits known as Servants to fight for the Holy Grail, a mythical artifact that grants any wish to its victor. The Servants fall into seven classes: Saber, Lancer, Archer, Rider, Caster, Assassin, and Berserker. Each Master forms a contract with their Servant and battles the others until only one pair survives. It's called the Holy Grail War. Rin Toosaka, a talented young mage, has been waiting for the Fifth Holy Grail War her entire life. As the last heir of the prestigious Toosaka family following her father's death, she enters the war with Archer as her Servant. But her plans hit a snag when Shirou Emiya—a boy from her school—accidentally becomes a Master and nearly gets killed in his first battle. Rin saves him, and somehow ends up teaming with Shirou and his Servant Saber to uncover the conspiracies hidden within the Holy Grail War itself. Whether Rin and Shirou will walk the path to victory or stumble toward defeat remains to be seen.
