Synopsis

In a far future where civilization exists entirely within a vast networked system, something went wrong in the past. An infection corrupted the automated infrastructure, causing the entire city to collapse into an endlessly sprawling, multi-layered maze that repeats infinitely. Humanity lost control of the systems long ago, and now they're hunted by the Safeguard—an automated defense network determined to purge them. One small community called the Electro-Fishers survives in hiding, barely scraping by on meager food supplies while the Safeguard closes in. When a girl named Zuru ventures out to scavenge for her village, she accidentally triggers an observation tower, which immediately dispatches Safeguard units to exterminate the threat. Trapped and separated from her companions with no way out, Zuru's only chance of survival comes from an unexpected encounter: Killy, a mysterious wanderer searching for the Net Terminal Genes—the legendary key to fixing the broken world.
