Synopsis

Buried beneath Tokyo Dome sits Kourakuen, an underground fighting arena where martial artists from every discipline imaginable—boxing, kenpo, you name it—come to test themselves. The rules are simple: no weapons, no prize money. Fighters here do it for honor and legacy, nothing else. Baki Hanma is a teenage grappler trying to claw his way to the top of this brutal world. He's developed his own fighting style through years of brutal training, and he's got serious motivation: he's the son of Yuujirou Hanma, the infamous "Ogre"—a man feared across the globe for his violence and savagery. Yuujirou's abuse and Baki's childhood trauma have become fuel for an obsession: getting strong enough to eventually take down his old man. So Baki throws himself into increasingly brutal fights against the world's deadliest fighters. But can he ever actually become powerful enough to stand against Yuujirou, or is that dream just going to destroy him too?
