Synopsis

Erika Shinohara is convinced that your entire high school life comes down to the first two months. So when she befriends Marin and Aki—two girls obsessed with talking about their boyfriends—she panics. Without a boyfriend of her own, she's the odd one out, so she does what any desperate teenager would do: she invents one. She even sneaks a photo of some random hot guy off the street to use as "proof." The problem? Her friends immediately recognize him as Kyouya Sata, a genuinely popular student at their school. Busted. Erika tracks Kyouya down and comes clean about the whole thing, hoping he'll just laugh it off. He doesn't. After seeming oddly willing to play along, he suddenly starts ordering her around—literally telling her to act like a dog. That's when Erika realizes she's made a huge mistake. But she's already in too deep, and backing out now would destroy her social life anyway. What follows is a mess of fake dating, emotional confusion, and increasingly blurry lines between what's an act and what's real. Can Erika dig herself out of this disaster, or will she eventually see that there's more to Kyouya beneath his jerky exterior?
