Tougenkyou has always been a place where humans and youkai coexist peacefully—until someone breaks a major taboo trying to resurrect Gyuumaou, a dangerous youkai from the past. The resulting "Minus Wave" spreads across the land, stripping youkai of their minds and turning them into mindless monsters that prey on humans. The Three Aspects, heavenly messengers, task Sanzou Genjou with stopping the resurrection and fixing everything. To do it, he recruits three old allies who are anything but typical. Gokuu Son, Hakkai Cho, and Gojou Sha are all half-human youkai—and they're the only ones with enough power and spiritual strength to survive the Minus Wave. Sanzou's got his doubts about trusting them because of their mixed blood, but he doesn't have much choice. The four of them head west together to track down and destroy the threat before it spreads any further.
