Synopsis

Kobato's had a rough go with "wisdom work"—basically deduction activities that left him pretty scarred. Now he's determined to turn over a new leaf and become a genuinely normal, honest person. He quietly teams up with his classmate Osanai, who's got the same goal in mind. Together, they make a pact to keep their heads down and just live peacefully through high school as average, unremarkable students. Except that's easier said than done. Strange incidents and bad luck keep piling up around their school, throwing a wrench in their whole ordinary citizen plan. So the question becomes: can Kobato and Osanai actually pull off a peaceful, normal life, or are they destined to keep getting dragged into chaos?
