Synopsis

Gabimaru the Hollow is a ninja from Iwagakure Village—cold, emotionless, and betrayed by his own people. He's on death row and actually wants to die, convinced he has nothing left. Except he does: his wife, who made him human enough to fail at being a proper assassin. So no matter how hard he tries to accept his execution, his body won't let him die. Asaemon the Decapitator, a legendary executioner, notices this and makes him a deal. Join an expedition to a mysterious island south of Japan to find the elixir of life, and the Shogunate will pardon him. The catch? The island is thought to be Paradise itself. What follows is a journey into the unknown. The island is strange and dangerous in ways the team of death-row prisoners—their only recruits—aren't prepared for. Survival isn't guaranteed, and not everything on Paradise is what it seems.
