It's now T.C. 71, and humanity has mostly moved off-world thanks to the Dyson Sphere—a massive space city that's home to 70% of the global population. Earth's remaining nations split into two rival superpowers: the Dorssia Military Pact Federation, which basically grew out of an old military alliance, and the ARUS (Atlantic Rim United States), which built its influence through trade. Caught between them is the smaller nation of JIOR, which stays neutral and prosperous by playing both sides. Our protagonist, Haruto Tokishima, is just another high school student living in Module 77, part of JIOR's orbital sector. Life's pretty standard until the Dorssian military decides to invade without warning. Everything changes when Haruto discovers Valvrave—a mysterious humanoid weapon that's about to drag him into a conflict way bigger than he bargained for.
