Synopsis

Kiri Koshiba is a first-year high school student with serious hairstyling skills. Whenever she spots someone getting bullied or put down for how they look, she steps in and works her magic—giving them makeovers that reveal their true potential. Her school's got a three-person beauty squad called the Scissors Project, made up of second-year students: Shougo Narumi handles hair, Kei Minami does nails, and Kazuhiko Ochiai oversees everything. They're selective about who they work on, but whoever they choose always comes out looking incredible. Things get messy when Kiri's childhood friend Kanako confesses to Ochiai and gives him a gift. Immediately, people accuse her of trying to bribe her way onto the SP's client list. Kiri's not having it—she decides to give Kanako a makeover herself, and the transformation is so stunning that the SP is left completely shocked. They have no idea who did it, so they go hunting for Kanako's hairstylist to challenge them. This kicks off a serious rivalry between Narumi and Kiri. The series also includes several one-shots: "Dream Come True," "Teen Drop," "Twisted Typhoon" and "I Want to Be a Prince," "Shampoo's Concern," "Hysteric Heart," and "Daily Life in the Narumi Family."
