In May 1945, as Soviet forces close in on Berlin, a shadowy cult of sorcerers and occultists gather to perform a devastating ritual. They're indifferent to the Reich's collapse—to them, the countless deaths happening around them are just fuel for their magic. After the war ends, they disappear without a trace, becoming nothing but urban legend. But the whispers persist: someday they'll come back, and when they do, it'll be the end of everything. They call themselves the Longinus Dreizehn Orden, and they're something to fear. Cut to present-day Japan. Fujii Ren gets out of the hospital after two months of recovery from injuries he sustained fighting his best friend Shiro in a brutal encounter. As Christmas rolls around, he's trying to piece his life back together and hold onto whatever's left of his old self. Then the LDO resurfaces. Suddenly the apocalypse is literally at his door. Ren's forced to tap into the same dark powers his enemies wield—but he's got to figure out if he's strong enough to protect the people he cares about from something genuinely inhuman.
