Kaito Daimon is a high school student obsessed with puzzles. When the student council president hands him a mysterious mobile device, it points him toward a hidden underground ruin beneath the school. He and his girlfriend Nonoha decide to tackle what's supposed to be an impossible puzzle down there—except it turns out to be way more serious than they bargained for. The puzzle is actually "The Puzzle of Sage," a dangerous creation by POG, a shadowy organization. Kaito manages to solve it, but that victory just kicks off an escalating series of puzzle battles against POG itself.
