Synopsis

Sakuta Azusagawa is studying at the library when he spots something weird: a girl in a bunny costume. Turns out it's Mai Sakurajima, a former actress and fellow student, but here's the crazy part—he's apparently the only person who can actually see her. This strange situation reminds Sakuta of something from his past, so he decides to help Mai figure out what's going on. They start off kind of butting heads, but they get close pretty fast, and what begins as friendship gradually turns into something more. That shared goal of solving Mai's problem only brings them closer. As they investigate, Sakuta realizes Mai's invisibility is connected to something called Adolescence Syndrome—basically a catch-all term for weird supernatural stuff that happens to teenagers and can't be explained by normal science. Problem is, the more they dig, the worse things get. Being invisible becomes the least of Mai's concerns. With her situation deteriorating, they're racing against time to figure out what's happening before she vanishes for good.
