Synopsis

Elaina's nose is always in a book, but one story completely captivates her: The Adventures of Nike, which follows a traveling witch on incredible adventures around the world. Inspired, Elaina decides she wants to do the same thing. When she tells her family about this dream, they're cool with it—but only if she becomes a real witch first. Determined to make it happen, she becomes the youngest girl to earn her Apprentice Witch license, then quickly becomes a full-fledged witch. Now calling herself the Ashen Witch (thanks to her distinctive silver hair), Elaina leaves home and starts her own journey. She explores all kinds of strange and beautiful places, befriends a cast of interesting people, and most importantly, finally gets to satisfy her lifelong craving for adventure.
