Synopsis

Yoshino Koharu just graduated and can't wait to escape her boring rural life for the excitement of Tokyo. After struggling to find work, she finally lands a part-time gig: queen of the "Kingdom of Chupakabura," some weird little tourist attraction in Manoyama, a sleepy farm town. Except when she gets there, she realizes it was all a mix-up—they thought she was someone famous and hired her by mistake. With nowhere else to go, Yoshino decides to stick it out. She teams up with the local tourism board to try breathing some life back into Manoyama. Using her position as the kingdom's queen, she works with the townspeople on various projects aimed at showcasing what makes their community special. Sakura Quest follows a small town caught between two worlds—trying to modernize and attract new people while holding onto the traditions and close relationships that make it home.
