Born in Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, he originally played football as a kid before shifting focus to his studies at Waseda University's School of Commerce. He came back to the sport later as a coach, working with players at SC Erumano in Osaka after earning his coaching license. Beyond his football involvement, he's best known as a composer—he's written soundtracks for dramas, films, anime, and TV shows. He's also recognized as an avid football fan who composed the Cerezo Osaka SC anthem and holds the title of their Stadium Master.
