Joey D'Auria started out doing summer stock theater in Vermont, where he fell in love with ensemble work and comedy—the kind of early experience that really shapes an actor. He went on to study at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, where he dug into the classics: Shakespeare, Wilde, Shaw, Thornton Wilder. All that groundwork paid off, and he built himself a solid reputation as a character actor.

After getting his Equity card, D'Auria spent time in dinner theater before heading to Los Angeles, where he got into improvisational theater, stand-up comedy, and musical revues. These days he's pretty open about what he takes on—radio, TV, stage, film, commercials—whatever keeps him working and lets him draw on the range he's developed over the years.
